Our youngsters have received a tablet for which neither the ICT or other personnel of the teaching field, was trained for. Secondly, the tablet was just an eye wash as our dear parliamentarians have received an ipad though they could afford one easily while students were granted PENTA of ORANGE! Moreover, our students are studying in the medical field but cannot aspire to hold a post in the hospitals! Thirdly, there is poor communication between what the employer needs and what the students are learning in their colleges! Why UOM is still proposing some courses for which there is no scope of work in the country anymore? Poor penetration of internet among middle class families as internet is still a luxury for many and nothing has been done to increase the speed of the internet as well as provide a proper service by Mauritius Telecom and ORANGE! Moreover, how many youth are still not facing the crisis of unemployment and nothing has been done for them by the ruling party for the past 10 years! Also, i am also a youth and I dearly think we cannot proceed with the establishment of a government who does not believe in the essence of transparence and freedom of information. For example, we are told metro leger is a good thing but why are not we told, how is it going to reduce the traffic, how much the fare will cost and how are we expected to service the huge debt when we are already been indebted from head to toe! Moreover, we are told to become modern but we still do not know when we should subject our small children to the unfair CPE benchmark! How many of youth has ever faced breakdown using CNT buses yet improvement has come slowly n the CNT is heavily indebted!
