Plus commission for orders achieve over monthly target. Location: Onehunga, Auckland Closing date: 8th July The company Sendabasket, a Gift Basket & Florist Business, has been in operation in NZ for over 32 years. Now under new ownership we are aiming to restore Sendabasket to its previous position as the biggest, of its kind, in the country. Based in Onehunga, Auckland, there is an Owner/Working Manager working fulltime, a semi- full-time florist (with work experience at the Savoy in London) working 5 days a week plus a back-up staff member who works when we are busy. As well as customers from the local area we also have visitors from around Auckland. We receive orders from around the country & overseas, mainly expats. A large majority of our customers are accounts based as they are corporate. As corporate customers are more likely to use our services throughout the year (not just Xmas time) the company is seeking to increase its corporate customer base in order to reduce the seasonal nature of the business. For more information on the business see sendabasket.co.nz The roles Position 1: Marketing Intern The Marketing Intern will be helping to draw up a Marketing plan & will make suggestions on the best use of Marketing budget (which is limited) by advising what is likely to be the most effective use of budget & why. The person appointed will: -Help to implement the Marketing plan -Be required to develop the Facebook, Skype, Twitter & other relevant Social Media accounts for Sendabasket & marketing & networking within the media format to increase the membership to such accounts & ultimately increase the sales. -Manage & update the customer database -Take responsibility in the preparation of marketing material, (flyers, newsletters etc.) -Prepare proposals for identified corporate clientele. Position 2: Business Development Intern Overall sales need to increase dramatically & the Business Development Intern will be responsible for the increase alongside the manager who also makes the baskets. The Main roles of the Business Development Intern will be -To personally contact the database of corporate clientele who have ceased using Sendabasket & gain them back. -Present proposals to corporate clientele & enlist their patronage to the business. -To gain commitment for end-of-year orders (Xmas, from all corporate clients, during the June/July/Aug time period Key skills Marketing Intern: •Knowledge & Experience of Marketing & Advertising in a Small Business Niche Situation will be highly beneficial to this business. Experience of preparing a realistic & strategic marketing plan with a small budget for a small business & how to implement this plan. •Must have skills in Marketing Campaigns & Networking events •Managing & updating Database •Experience in Marketing Material, flyers, newsletters etc •Proposal Preparation for Corporate clientele. •Critical thinking - needs to know what is working & what isn’t & be able to think outside the square. •Organization skills •Leadership abilities •Sales negotiations •Account management •Networking skills •Professionalism in communication •Must have a clean full Driver’s License as using the company car may be required. •Extremely Important: Applicants MUST be able to speak & write fluent English •Must Maintain Confidentiality in All matters. Business Development Intern: •Knowledge & Experience in dealing with Upper level corporations & the culture within them. Must be able to communicate effectively through all levels of Business from the Receptionist to the CEO. Must be able to deal with different divisions/company within the same Parent Company. •Must be a very friendly, approachable & strong confident communicator without overstepping the boundaries. •Must be able to book appointments & build rapport from the very beginning regardless of who is on the other end & continue through a process of visitations & re-establishing contact to achieve the goal of attaining Xmas orders & ongoing patronage throughout the year. •Needs to have tidy & professional appearance when visiting the corporate database. •Consistency is important •You will need to be astute & back yourself in selling our product, it’s a niche market. We do have a lot of competition. •We also have a large database that needs re-visiting, updating. A lot of our database have been with the business for almost 10 – 20 years plus & have dropped off as the previous owner lost enthusiasm & struggled with competition. •Must have a clean full drivers licence as using the company car to visit the companies will be required. •Extremely Important: Applicants MUST be able to speak & write fluent English •Must Maintain Confidentiality in All matters.
