Working as part of the staff team in Mobberley, the Senior Care Assistant is responsible for providing the highest standards of care to our residents, with an emphasis on their health and wellbeing, while complying with all companys policies and regulations. We will be looking for the following skills and qualifications: • Ability to handle multiple priorities • Evidence of good written and verbal skills for communication and understanding • Demonstrates good judgement, problem solving and decision making skills • Good organisation and time management skills • Ability to supervise and coach others is desirable • Able to keep accurate records • Ability to react calmly in emergency situations and be considerate • Exhibits a caring and compassionate attitude • Ability to work flexible hours • Evidence of previous experience working with older people is desirable • NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care desirable or a willingness to undertake the qualification • Medication administration training or/and a willingness to undertake training if required • Evidence of good IT skills and confidence in computer based work is desirable • Be at least 21 years of age, as regulations require Areas of Responsibility • Responsible for all aspects of resident Wellbeing in the community. • Responsible for communicating all issues regarding Wellbeing services to the Registered Manager, coordinators, residents families and other team members. • Responsible for carrying out Health Checks, administering medication, management of medication records and supplies and coordinating the visits of ancillary health services.
