Our customers are developers, so in a sense, youre building for yourself. You will work closely with our founders and the product manager to deliver high quality features efficiently. You will have a say in all aspects of product, engineering, and culture. Our ideal candidate will not only be a great core product engineer but will also be excited to engage with our developer community—assisting in support, attending developer events, and engaging with open source communities. In this role, you will: * Perform Full Stack / Vertical Slice Java software development for the core web application, from server-side Spring MVC to the NoSQL data layer and everything in between. * Utilize NoSQL datastores like Cassandra to implement complex data/relationship algorithms. * Implement and maintain core transactional and messaging services in a Java and Spring IoC container environment. * Develop and maintain remote client APIs and frameworks. * Implement and maintain core REST + JSON APIs and interfaces. * Utilize cutting-edge Java open-source frameworks and technologies. * Integrate with 3rd-party API cloud-hosted services and APIs. * Leverage the latest cloud technologies and integrate with and deploy to a 100% cloud production infrastructure. Requirements: * Strong Java platform experience deploying production apps on the JVM and Java platform. * Strong Spring Framework experience: Spring Core, Spring AOP, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, etc. * Some experience with NoSQL datastores like Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Riak, etc * Strong English language proficiency * A self-starter and self-learner with a good sense of humor: you know how to RTFM Bonus Points: * Start-up Experience * Experience with Elastic Search * Experience with Storm (event processor) * Experience with Hibernate (or JPA) * Experience with open-source technologies and communities.
