Senior Marketing Specialist - Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies Los Angeles, CA Warner Bros. Technical Operations Inc. seeks a Senior Marketing Specialist for the Marketing department. This person will support the Warner Home Entertainment account managing online publicity campaigns from conceptualization through execution for all projects managed by the VP of Online Publicity and the VP of WHE Catalog Publicity. The position will be responsible for developing and executing online PR campaigns for all Theatrical Catalog releases. As a senior member of the online publicity team, they may also contribute to Theatrical New Release, Franchise (TV and Kids) and Digital campaigns from time to time. This role will be primarily responsible for pitching online press, developing innovative angles and growing a database of entertainment journalist, bloggers and niche genre contacts. Close collaboration and integration with Social Media initiatives across all TCAT campaigns will be a high priority. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead online PR campaign development and execution to create successful campaigns for TCAT titles and initiatives. Participate in strategy and brainstorm meetings with stakeholders from cross-functional teams. Synergize with traditional media agency for plan development and execution. • Assist in identifying and extending new opportunities for online PR outreach across all online PR channels including media outlets, blogs, video syndication channels such as YouTube and new emerging channels. Build relationships across all relevant media outlets with focus on entertainment and niche interests appropriate for specific titles. • Secure targeted editorial features with national and niche online outlets with individualized partner editorial pitches – business and consumer press. • Increase participation in viral marketing initiatives, integrating tools such as widgets, infographics, animated GIFS, video sizzle reels and ARGs into standard online outreach. • Create, update and present campaign results. • Support press event planning, staffing and management of press and talent relations. • Train and manage Coordinator. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s in Marketing/Management/Communication. • Entertainment industry experience preferred. • 5+ years of online public relations background, understanding the complexities of developing and executing online public relations campaigns, understanding client relations and helping meet and exceed their expectations and understanding of the entertainment industry and complexities of working with big brand names. • Ability to write online public relations materials such as Press Releases, Media Alerts, Campaign Reports, Presentations etc. • Must be a “self-starter” as well as work in a group project environment. • Must be able to prepare and maintain software documentation. • Must be able to organize and schedule a high workload, efficiently. • Must have flexible and friendly personality to interface closely the production staff. • Must be able to communicate effectively with others (staff, management, vendors, etc.). • Must be able to understand a user’s needs and translate them into an application environment. • Must have contacts with online entertainment journalists at major sites/portals, blogs and online counterparts to traditional media outlets. • Must have experience with press junkets. • Talent relations contacts and experience a plus. • General computer knowledge is required (Microsoft Office,), as is experience with software applications necessary to complete projects (including Powerpoint, Excel, Word). Time spent on Microsoft Office applications exceed 85%. • Knowledge of computer, printer, photocopy machine, fax machine, telephone, etc. required.
