Senior Quantity Surveyor Digby Morris - Quebec City, QC, Canada Senior Quantity Surveyor Ref:NK/14591 Digby Morris client is one of the worlds most recognised contractors. They currently require Senior Quantity Surveyors for a major hospital project located in Canada. The project is a large PPP Hospital currently under construction in downtown Montreal, Quebec. The first phase is due to be complete in April 2016 and the second phase is due to be completed in 2020. Responsibilities *The Quantity Surveyor will be required to provide support to the Team Leader / Service Leaders in Client interface *Commercial involvement during Procurement process including checking of scope of works, review of tender reconciliations, review of Subcontract conditions prior to execution *Ability to manage a team of moderate size. *Work collaboratively to manage related issues on the multi-disciplinary projects while liaising with key stakeholders. *Proactively develop service excellence including the utilisation of technology to support business delivery. *Demonstrate strong personal presence at all stages of the project including actively seeking feedback. *To represent the company in a professional and diligent manner, developing strong working relationship with clients. *Deliver the agreed scope of works plus the leadership and management of meetings with the client, supply chain, and stakeholders. *Deliver projects within the framework of risk, sustainability and environmental considerations agreed at the business case / client brief stage. *Work with client stakeholders and operational team to deliver project solutions that support the operational model. *Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment through knowledge and awareness of and adherence to the companys policy. *Considerable interaction with staff from all relevant sections, requiring disciplined management of priorities, good communication and accurate and timely information flow. *Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner. *Involvement within the valuation of client variations *The quantity Surveyor will be a strong team player but demonstrate the ability to take a leadership role as part of personal development planning.
