This individual is responsible for the functionality, design, development and unit testing of specified areas within our application with significant experience using Microsoft.NET /C#. Responsibilities: Designs/codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools. Maintains and modifies existing applications. Creates new screens and new controls for application. Assumes responsibility for ongoing data architecture for product. Works directly with QA to investigate and solve specific application issues. Works on a team with software developers, QA and Business Analyst in order to ensure timely delivery of the software enhancements/modifications to which they are assigned. May act as the team lead during the initial stages of the development process for simple enhancements to the software. Contributes to the product planning process for determining enhancements to be included in future releases. Their role in this process is as a contributor and not as a driver of the process. Has a good understanding of the application, as well as the industries that the software is designed to support. Understands the overall software development process. Maintains existing software requirements and functional specification documents in order to keep them up-to-date with previous changes made to the software. Attends on-going training classes to achieve personal, professional and technical improvement. Competencies: B.A. in Computer Science with 4? 6 years related experience. Must also demonstrate a range of experience on different platforms. Focused training on Microsoft tools necessary. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members. Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
