Senior Training Officer : Tshwane Metropolitan : Mining Print E-mail Job at First Time Placements Senior Training Officer REF: PSTOff Advert Details Recruiter: First Time Placements Updated on: 2014-10-29 10:44:48 AA/EE: Applicable Contract Permanent Location: Tshwane Metropolitan Available: ASAP Category: Mining Offer: Negotiable Introduction A well-established company based in Cullinan (30 km East from Pretoria) is looking for a Senior Training Officer who will mainly be responsible for the training and assessment of mining processes, machinery and self-propelled mobile vehicle operators Minimum Requirements Minimum Requirements: Matric or Grade 12 Blasting Certificate or National Certificate – Rock Breaking Underground Hard Rock 5 years’ experience as a miner in a diamond mine PC Literate (MS Office Suite) Valid drivers’ license (EB/08) Pass Vienna Assessment - Level 2 (on-Mine assessment) ETDP and Assessor certificates to be acquired within 18 months of appointment Other Skills / Competencies: Previous experience in Training will be an advantage Sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in English Ability to interface with all customers Ability to work independently and as part of the team Facilitation, presentation, coaching and mentoring skills Sound planning, leading and organizational abilities Self-motivated and proactive thinking Job Specification Tasks and Responsibilities: Deliver training and quality assurance Develop lesson plans for training programmes Facilitate effective learning environments and evaluate the effectiveness of current training programmes Conduct training and assessments on Mining specific processes and machinery Present and assess unit standard base training and short courses Control the administration of training documentation Coach and guide trainees Ensure compliance with MQA and ISO standards Address the requirements of Section 10 of the Mine Health and Safety Act Ensure adherence to Safety, Health and Environmental programme goals and objectives Ensure personal and co-workers adherence and compliance to Security and the Company’s SHE objectives Work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice, and report any observations of this not being done First Time Placements Contact Details First Time Placements Physical Address : 135 Jan Smuts Avenue Parkwood Johannesburg Postal Address : Same As Above Telephone: 0118804624
