Senior User Experience Designer with Mobile App experience Excellent and Innovative Start Up in North Tel Aviv is seeking a passionate, curious, and thoughtful designer to join our Experience & Design Team. We work as a tight, cross-disciplinary team, so you need to feel comfortable working closely with a variety of teams to evolve our product and our brand. Not only must you be an excellent analytical UX designer (who creates state-of-the-art specifications), you also have to be a pixel-perfect visual designer who creates awesome visual experiences. You must be fluent in UX ‘best practices’, yet also know exactly when to discard them and explore a new route. You’ll be involved in every aspect of the product development process – from brainstorming the next feature to tweaking pixels right up to code freeze if necessary. You know how to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions, and you know how to ask the right questions. Responsibilities Develop user experience design concepts, wireframes, mockups, usage scenarios, task analysis, prototypes, specifications, navigation maps, style guidelines, and other UX design deliverables that are right for the task at hand (e.g., sketching, wireframes, low to high fidelity mockups) to meet each stage of development. Develop expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products and bring new ideas to the team. Have a good understanding of current design patterns and guidelines for both mobile and web, and be able to create a coherent, cross-device experience. Help establish and reinforce consistent design patterns. Give and solicit feedback from your fellow designers in order to constantly raise the bar. Be able to articulate and defend design decisions Help ensure that designs meet the objectives of the user’s experience, fit with the overall brand and remain consistent. Must haves: Passion Bachelors or Masters degree in Design or related field. 3+ years as a User Experience Designer, creating excellent experiences that delight the customer as native mobile apps, web apps, and tablets. Strong conceptual, visual and analytical skills - solid skills in graphic design, with an eye for typography, palette development, intuitive layout, and a pixel-level attention to detail - a deep appreciation for clean, simple, usable interfaces. Deep understanding and practice of the design process for mobile apps In-depth knowledge of the iOS and Android User Interface Guidelines and an understanding of pattern based design for mobile applications – being able to distinguish the differences between the two platforms A demonstrable portfolio of interaction/visual design work, including task analyses, flows, interactive prototypes, and design specifications, that illustrates exceptional understanding of standard user experience design principles and techniques, that demonstrate your skills.
