Senior Welding Inspector Location: Libya Our client in the Oil and Gas Industry in Libya requires the services of candidates willing to fill the position of a Senior Welding Engineer. Preference will be given to candidates with matching qualifications and relevant work experience. QUALIFICATIONS •Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgy or Mechanical and ME in welding Engineering from a recognized university. •Degree in welding technology certified by IIW (Indian Institute of Welding) OR welding engineer course certified by IIW (International Institute of Welding). •ASNT level II in RT, MPT, LPI and UT (IWE certification preferable). •Awareness of ISO 9001 quality management system requirements. WORK EXPERIENCE •Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in the field of welding fabrication as welding engineer and 10 to 15 Years of overall experience in Construction (Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petroleum, and Power plant), Welding Practices and Non destructive testing. •Experience in the Heavy Engineering Fabrication workshop or in Construction Site in the capacity of Welding Engineer. •Hands on experience in preparation of WPS, Qualification of PQR and welder qualification. •Conversant with ASME, AWS, API codes & BS EN Standards. •Knowledge in selection of Welding consumables & estimation of welding consumables. •Capable of managing the Team of Welding Engineers, Inspectors and Foremen. •Knowledge in materials and properties •Report writing and Business & Technical correspondence •Interpreting skills for International Codes, Standards and Procedures OUTLINE DUTIES •Lead Welding Engineering planning,development and qualification activities associated with Gas Turbine component repair programs. •Focus on implementing best practice repair processes in the Service repairs with emphasis on super alloy components. •Lead engineering teams in performing complex supplier qualifications for advanced Gas Turbine designs. •Provide technical direction via work instructions and technical process definition. •Supervise the Welding Team. •Routine monitoring,Scheduling and planning.
