Senior performance JP coaching the football & rugby athletes on one of WSSC supplementary/assistant strength movements ... Double leg bridge (bent leg hip extension). **note; uni lateral or supplementary movements are secondary to bi lateral or core strength primal patterns At WSSC we believe in developing the athletes total neuromuscular profile and glute/ham complex where by the CNS is trained as a synergistic unit not in isolation! Most athletes we see at WSSC are hypertonic through their hip flexors and dormant through their glutes. WSSC athletes train their post chain via two movements; Straight leg hip ext & Bent leg hip ext (glutes- prime mover) These movements are vital for injury prevention of hamstring strains (glutes are the powerhouse of sprinting and changing direction) and athletic performance! Posterior chain development is the focus for all WSSC athletes! Coaches tip: squeeze glutes at full hip ext (isomeric - neural drive) Contact WSSC now for a science based approach!
