*Seniors* Red Hughs 2-8 CLG BnaG 0-8 The Seniors got life in Division 3 off to a disappointing start with defeat at the hands of an ultra defensive Red Hughs in Killygordon tonight. A poor performance full of slack passing and slack marking made life very difficult against a team who liked to get plenty of players behind the ball. Na Galloglaigh still managed to carve out plenty of chances for themselves, especially in the first half, but unfortunately left their shooting boots at home as the wide tally was well into double figures in the opening period. Red Hughs lost one of their forwards to a black card after just 2 minutes for a high tackle, before another Red Hughs forward was lost to what was a suspected broken arm after fifteen minutes which resulted in 8 minutes of injury time, the half time score 0-4 to 0-2 to the home side. More slack passing and slack marking let Red Hughs in for 2 goals within 4 minutes after 45 minutes were on the clock, and with the way Red Hughs were shutting up shop it looked like game over already with the score 2-5 to 0-4, When Paul Sweeney, a first half sub to replace the injured Enda McHugh, was shown the black card for a late tackle it just didnt look like it was going to be Na Galloglaighs day. The blues did manage to score a handful of points late on but the game was already over as a contest by that stage, and definitely over when Pauric Curley received a black card late in injury time.
