Sense of Pride People of Bangladesh needs to take pride of their own culture and heritage before they go and start singing the song of another culture.It bothers me greatly when I see people, especially our elites who thinks that everything done by the others are great and ours is a 2nd grade culture. Especially ,people who are too eager to promote the culture of our neighbors based on political or religious affiliations but ours.This kind of mindset is really poor and unpatriotic. Yes, maybe the culture of Bangladesh did not get a chance to come to the Mainstream for lack of nurturing and promotion but it takes dedicated effort,planning and deep understanding to promote that idea. We must create our own Identity and preserve our own heritage before we infuse other culture into ours. We must buy our own product and merchandise,promote our own before we go and buy someone elses. It came from deep sense of pride and patriotism. Patriotism does not come just because we give few flowers to the Shahid minar on 21st February or sing the national anthem on the 16th december. It has to reflect in our action, in our attitude , in our manners, in our unity. We are living in the age of information society. As long as we have the know how, we can buy the Machine, industry from anywhere of the world and produced, manufacture, replicate, design the same quality the others are doing . Instead, we are buying second grade quality of product ,promoting ,financing others while we are neglection our own. Our talent needs to be trained, coached, promoted ,nurtured and it will deliver the same amount of creativity as well as any other country. There are no magic to it. One of the reason that many industry did not get a foothold in our country is our biased government and corrupt Politicians who are bought/bribed by the Neighbouring or interesting bearing country ,groups, multinational companies who want to keep Bangladesh an import oriented country rather than making or producing our own , or promoting our goods , merchandise and cultural aspect ,so they can exploit the huge market of 150 millions people. Only the deep Patriotic feelings , actions and taking the control in our own hand will change the course of our country.Otherwise we will be their economic and cultural slaves of them generation after generation. You are exactly doing that. So get out of your slave mentality and take the Matters in your own hand. ZAK HOSSA
