Sent by a follower and also published elsewhere Yesterday was an excellent example of our unity, strength, and that with this things can be achieved. It also proved just how farcical parliament is. However here is an example of sheer frustration: I have a family friend who is a human rights lawyer. He has successfully sued the uk government winning millions of pounds in compensation. He was happy to meet our union over 18 months ago and through his practice, on our behalf, would have lobbied the House of Commons and House of Lords, used their contacts in the media and appropriate think tank groups etc. to get our campaign heard. He said as a very last resort (because it is expensive) we could consider a legal avenue. This could be part financed by our Union and partly by ourselves, all of which his practice has experience of and can facilitate doing. He also said with the evidence in hand we could win. Unfortunately despite my best efforts and the help of Ben Sprung nobody from the union would even entertain a meeting! Despite emails and phone messages nobody had the decency to reply to me! Im pretty sure our friend would still help, if anyone is interested, can contact the union powers that be and if it isnt already too late.....
