Sent email today at 11:22 a.m. Dear Mr. Neal, Mr Barnes, Ms. Musholt and Ms. Langlois, My name is Arietha Lockhart, I am a member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. I have volunteered my time and my singing voice to the Symphony for 31 years. I am a donor on a small scale with monetary funding but if you calculated what I would have been paid for my services hourly, it would be literally thousands of dollars. I am serious about my support of the ASO and I have a number of friends that have asked me how they can participate in giving to raise the monies to be matched by the Woodruff Foundation. I have to say, that they are worried that their donation will not benefit the Symphony directly. I have suggested that they give directly to the ASO Endowment Fund. Please advise as to how to donate directly to the ASO Endowment Fund. Many are wanting to know because they wish to donate before the end of the year, 2014. Here are the questions they want addressed. 1st: Who should receive their checks? and what is their address? 2nd: How should their checks be written and ear-marked to allow them to donate to the ASO Endowment Fund directly?. 3rd: How will they know that their funds have been directed as they have requested? Thank you for your timely attention to my questions. I have a suggestion for a public campaign to raise the funds for the Matching Grant. I mentioned this idea to Mr. Neal before one of our Beethoven 9th Symphony performances. 70th Season Endowment Fund Donation Appeal: Support the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for another 70 years, give what you can whether it is $7, $70, $700,$7,000, $70,000, or $700,000. Funds given will go into our endowment fund and if we can raise 8 million dollars will be matched dollar for dollar by the Woodruff Foundation Matching Grant. For each concert a commercial like the one done for the Chorus 40th anniversary could be developed. Here is that video. Note our general public probably never saw this marvelous video. https://youtube/watch?v=T1dZUXxsLz8 Please let me hear from you soon, Sincerely, Arietha Arietha Lockhart, Soprano 1 (1983-2014) Facebook Arietha Lockhart, Soprano Member of the Community Save Our Symphony Atlanta saveoursymphonyatlanta/ Arietha Lockhart about.me/ariethalockhart
