Separate lists for same teacher post Candidates cry foul, appeal SSB Srinagar, May 25: Candidates, who have applied for the post of teacher, Sunday appealed Services Selection Board officials to make public the criteria of selection process. A delegation of candidates said that SSB has confused them with the recently issued selection list. “Three notifications were issued for these posts and every time it was suggested that candidates who have applied already need not to apply afresh,” they said. However, they added that despite conducting written test of all candidates simultaneously, the selection list of every notification was issued separately. “This process is flawed as the candidates who have appeared in same exam on the same date have been shortlisted under the notifications they had applied against,” they said. Elaborating, they said: “Suppose ‘A’ has applied under notification 1 and is having 90 points while ‘B’ applied under notification 2 and is having 70 points. Both appeared in the same test. The officials have declared ‘B’ qualifier under notification 2 for the reason that cut off is 75 while ‘A’ is being dropped because under notification 1, 85 is cut off,” they said. “We fail to understand that if the officials had asked the candidates that those who had applied need not to apply again, why this dirty game of notifications is being played with the meritorious students,” they asked. They appealed SSB officials to come clean on the issue, before they initiate legal course against them.
