Separation of Church and state. A few notes on this subject. It has come to my attention that some Americans even those who consider themselves pastors, messengers, and servants of God have embraced this fallacy that is not of our countrys founding , its documents, rich history, and Judean-Christian heritage. And not in our religious texts such as the bible. This notion of Separation of Church and state now serve as an popular catchphrase originates from the communist manifesto, and is a primary directive of its author. The intention is not to strengthen or maintain the integrity of both institutions but to weaken them by placing them in contention with one another. Similar to the phrase of Have and Have nots, so many parrot this without considering its origin, or who Saul Alinsky was, and what he represented. Like Uriah taking sealed instructions to Commander Joab, there are people willingly and unknowingly volunteering for their own demise. When Jesus Christ was with man, the political and religious institutions partnered in his chastising, crucifixion, and death. So was the church separate from the state then? During the Civil Rights movement when MLK by the strength of God pleaded his and the plight and that of countless blacks who sacrificed their lives so that their children could inherit civil and natural rights, expressed in the Bill of Rights. Was the church looking for separation or affirmation? Or was the church literally and symbolically used for a basis spiritual and moral authority expressed in a nonviolent movement with the purpose of freedom and fairness for all? On the appointed day of Christs return and coronation will the separation take place before, after, or during his reign? Is God our Father, so insignificant that brick and mortar made by the hands of mere men could separate us from his presence? Could it be that we are using this doctrine to shield the unknowing from our blatant hypocrisy. For the followers of Christ we know that God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. Yet some reject this knowledge when debating in the public square because they are ashamed of their faith, and afraid of looking intolerant to others beliefs. Does the Bible not instruct us to attempt to live peaceable with all men? Was not our part of our countrys founding said to have originated in a attempt to have religious freedom? Can we not boldly live and express the truth respectfully to others? Or has political correctness served as a effective tool to muzzle the mouths and tongues of those with a holy discontent for what is blatantly wrong or improper. For some the Separation of Church and state is good in the public forum of idea exchange, but its convenient to have them partnered when their charities or projects are in need of federal funding. Are we to worship God or government that is the question? This big government that man is attempting to build like the tower of babel will reach its peak and then crumble. Because the power and wisdom that man seeks can only be given to him by God to be used for his kingdom, his mandates, and purposes. Anything created apart from partnering with his spirit, purpose, and direction can only serve as a bastion of mans vanity. The creation of mortal men will wither away but the word of God will last for eternity. Would it not benefit the many if we had leaders in our communities and governments that were not angels, but men and women of great character, moral standards and intestinal fortitude? And if so then which standards should we judge them by? All faiths and religions have some moral code or standard to bear which serves as a individuals source of morality and strength in times of discomfort, peril, or tribulations. But in the current climate we arent looking to bear witness to those standards because it forces us to conduct an self appraisal which would undoubtingly highlight our frailties and short comings. Its obvious that some among us want a license to cherry pick where God end and where man begins. Which is counterintuitive because man is finite but God is infinite. In the name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, and the author and finisher of the faith of all believers. Amen..
