Sept 10…DAILY ENCOUNTER …What is bothering you today? …John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” …Experts tell us that we are the most medicated culture that has ever existed in the history of man, which indicates that many of us lead bothered lives. In truth, we are all bothered about something at some time in our lives, yet many of us lead lives that are dominated by our concern, missing the peace we hunger to have. God did not intend for us to live such bothered lives. That is why Jesus offers us His peace. It is a peace which He extends to us by His grace, not like the false peace which the world offers, that comes with expectations of being earned or demanding something in return. Jesus extends his peace to us as the byproduct of our relationship with Him. He simply wants to know you. What is bothering you today? What do you fear? His peace can get you through. Trust Him! Let Jesus get to know you, and you will never have to be held captive by bother again.
