Sept 1985 the local paper wrote about my missionary work in Hawaii with Filipinos. That was my first experience with Filipinos. I was so determine to help people. Change their lives. Show love. Jesus will save them. My first trip to Philippines was 1995. I fell in love with the culture. Thru the years I have learned so much. I was so loving and giving. But I had Mr Ruben Yap tell me- you can keep throwing money down a hole. Pray for them. Forgive. Love. But in the end many people wont change. You are not mother Theresa. You are making yourself sick. Dont try so hard. But over and over- I do the same. Love. Forgive. Trust. And wham- something would happen. When you stop giving- people turn. You see the real person. Why are people so mean- after all you did for them?? My simple Christian upbringing. Share them jesus. Give. Love. It reality is- you must be strong. You must say no. You must stickup for yourself. Be wise. Have I changed- no. I will give and support- if you are pure. I will ask questions. I love the Philippines. I hate the users. I hate the people that run for office and make money on it. I miss taking photos in Philippines. Photos dont lie.
