Sept. 21, 2014 Life is short….or some other title…. As I sit here, at a local pub, an impromptu trio of celtic musicians starts playing. Ok, maybe it wasnt impromptu, but theyre brilliant!!! But the music inspires me even more, to follow my dream. John and I are here on a Sunday, working on our laptops. Finding new ways to reach people, new products to try. I have spent the last 30+ years, working 50+ hours a week at a career that chose me, I didn’t choose it. Long hours, in a cubicle or an office, working for someone else, just so they could reach their dreams, their goals. I often thought that that was the only way. Work long hours, pay your bills and maybe have enough time to see your friends and family, and squeeze out that one or two weeks a year of vacation, if you’re lucky. It wasn’t until recently, when John and I reconnected, that he and I realized how simple things could be. How utterly happy and joyful and uncomplicated, things could be. But we would have to make some drastic changes. We would have to take a leap of faith, and stay determined to reach our goals. Well, we’re on our way, and although we may be a little ways from realizing our dreams, the journey so far has proved unimaginable! I recently saw a post on Facebook from the late, great Zig Ziglar. “If you want something you never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.” Well, isn’t that spot on! I havent quite figured out what my dreams final destination will be, but as I sit here, listening to music from my very, very far away homeland, I am reminded that life is short, good friends and family are irreplaceable and love and happiness should be the first thing on everyones list!!!! ~ Maggie
