Sept 30, 2013 11:59 am Your life’s lessons or valleys are your wilderness Too many times you just allow things to happen to you without understanding how the Lord Jesus wants you to learn lessons through your circumstances. When you really analyze your life’s lessons you can see that the Lord is taking you through valleys of difficulties for specific reasons. When you say: "It’s impossible!" - Jesus says, "What is impossible with humans is possible with God. All things are possible for you if you believe." (Luke 18:27; Mark 9:23) The Bible tells you that if you respond properly to the trials of life, you will develop patience and godly maturity (Romans 5:3-5; James 1:3-4). You must keep in mind that your present sufferings are "but for a moment" and that they are being used by God for your eternal good (2 Corinthians 4:17-18). So take heart, if you’re suffering. Someday you too will realize that it was worth it all (1 Peter 1:7). It will be worth it all when you see Jesus, Life’s trials will seem so small when you see Christ; One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase, So bravely run the race till you see Christ. Some of life’s greatest lessons are learned in the school of affliction: When you say: "I’m too tired" - Jesus says, "Come to me, if you are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my burdens upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul." (Matt. 11:28, 29) When you say: "Nobody really cares about me." - Jesus says, A new commandment I give to you that you love one another as I have loved you. By this you will know that you are my disciples because you have love for one another. (John 13:34,35) "This is love: not that you loved Me first, but that God loved you and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for your sins." (I John 4:10) When you say: "I can’t figure things out since I am confused." - Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life." Jesus also says, "Trust in the Me with all of your heart and do not rely on your own insights. In all your ways acknowledge Me and I will direct your paths."(Prov. 3:5,6) When you say: "I’m not able to carry this heavy burden." - Jesus says, "Cast your cares on the Me and I will sustain you; I will never let the righteous fall." (Psa. 55:22) Have you spent time talking to the Lord about your trials? He knows how to meet your needs--whether through His direct intervention (Ps. 34:17) or through the comfort of His presence 18). Trust Him today with your heart. Prayer brings you peace and gives you power. Prayer links you with the living God-- You need to pray. --Daily prayers are the best remedy for daily cares. (It’s your Daily Bread) When you say: "The pressures from the world, the flesh, and the devil are too strong for me." - Jesus says, "In the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world." (John 16:33) "Love not the world or the things that are in the world. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the boastful pride of life are not from the Father, but are from the world - Love the God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind and your neighbor as yourself and you will have the empowerment to overcome anything or anyone." (I John 2:15,16) It’s all in your attitude! Are you going through a difficult wilderness experience right now? Don’t despair. For whatever you’re going through! There is an end! But it is according to your attitude going through your problems that you will either die (spiritually) in your wilderness or come out victorious. Or you will either come out hurt and bitter, or with the sweet anointing of the presence of God upon you. Because the children of Israel were full of unbelief, and grumbled and complained about their hardships and the challenges they had to face, they all died in the wilderness. Only Joshua and Caleb came through! Joshua came forth to lead God’s people into battle and to take the Promised Land. (Joshua 1:6-7) Caleb came forth ready to take mountains and tackle giants. (Joshua 14:6-15) So look at your life’s lessons or valleys as your wilderness? PRAY this prayer: "I thank you, Lord that you are bringing me through my wilderness. Please help me to have the right attitude. Help me to see that this is all part of your plan and that you are preparing me for your purposes. You are walking through your wilderness; rejoice that God is with you.
