Sept. 30th - When we are first rescued from our sin and degradation and living on the wrong side of life, God brings us into His family to have fellowship with Him. Our hunger and desire for the word of God is tenacious when we are spiritually younger. In the early days of our relationship with God we are attentive to His word and desirous for Him to spiritual feed and nurture us; pouring His Life into our Life. As believers get older and begin to mature, they start to walk strong in certain areas of life, thinking that they dont have to be so God reliant. Like the child that is racing to the graduation finish line, many of us cant wait until we become spiritually mature to graduate from relying on God. There is no place where we can go in order to graduate and stop needing God. People say they are being elevated to another or new level, but this should never mean that we dont still have the same tether and connection to rely on God. We are required to grow, develop, and progress from spiritual milk and to spiritual meat. The meat comes from the same God that fed us with the spiritual breast milk. The truth and weightiness of Gods word is spoon fed to us so that we dont choke on the word while trying to feed ourselves. We are connected permanently to our eternal life source. Trust in the Lord and lean not unto your understanding. The tendency of human nature wants to disconnect and discharge ourselves from the necessity of trusting God. God in never trying to disconnect from us, it is always man striving to disconnect from Him. We should never strive to lean on our own understanding, in all of our ways we should acknowledge Him and He will direct our path.
