Sept, Oct 2014 deadly months forFilipinos KUWAIT: September and October this year were considered by the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait to be the most tragic and deadly months for Filipinos. The embassy recorded six deaths in what they billed as the most tragic and unfortunate circumstances. Four of the deaths are alleged suicides, although relatives expressed doubts on the way they died. Here’s the list as per the record of the Philippine Embassy’s Assistant to Nationals Unit provided to Kuwait Times by Philippine Vice Consul Sheina Tesorero and Assistant to Nationals Unit Officer Ramon Merida. Death by alleged suicide Lorelyn Abeto Gilvero allegedly committed suicide on Sept 13. Her suicide case is still being investigated. Analiza Leonor Montevilla died Oct 10 by allegedly drinking bleach. Her case is under investigation. Joselma Villapando died on Oct 15 by allegedly falling from the fourth floor of her building. Her case is being investigated. Joanna Humawid Ejansantos died Oct 25 by allegedly throwing herself from the 17th floor of her employer’s flat. Death by car accident Daniel Lumactod Tiro died on Sept 26. He was the only Filipino fatality in a bus accident which took the lives of about eight other passengers. His remains have been sent home to his family and a case is now filed against the bus operator. Merlanie Fuentes Canillas died in a road accident. She was crushed to death by a fast moving vehicle in front of a new mall in Egaila. Her remains were sent to her family on Nov 1. The culprit surrendered to authorities. She was married to an Indian.
