September 11, 2014 The Bay County Sheriff’s Office released information yesterday on a group of suspects believed responsible for the theft of about $72,000 from the bank account of a local couple, Five suspects were captured on security video at different financial institutions in Bay and Jackson Counties and Dothan, Alabama, using counterfeit checks and counterfeit driver’s licenses to steal the money. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office contacted the BCSO today with additional information on the five suspects. A Jackson County deputy, entering a restaurant in Jackson County on Friday, September 5, 2014, had been approached by an employee of the restaurant. The employee reported a group of individuals he said were acting suspiciously and were still in the parking lot of the restaurant. The Jackson County deputy approached the vehicle, which attempted to drive away. The deputy was able to detain the five individuals in the car. One of the suspects, a male, opened the car door and ran off, holding a bag under his arm. He was identified as Eric Hilliard. The deputy identified the four remaining suspects, took photos, and found $9000 in cash in the vehicle. Unaware of the theft, the deputy let them go. The information gathered by the Jackson County deputy was sent to the BCSO. Pictures of the four suspects matched those captured on security cameras using counterfeit checks to steal money, with one female suspect wearing the exact same outfit. Warrants have been obtained for Cinnamon Diaz, age 45, of Marietta, Georgia, Jammie Tutt, age 31, of Decatur, Georgia, Markus Riggins, age 27, of Lithonia, Georgia, and Asia Watson, age 26, of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
