September 11 attacks, unforgettable and harsh memory for everybody in the world. On the 11th of Sep. 2001, two American Airlines jetliners and two United Airlines jetliners were hijacked by Islamic terrorists and crashed into the World Trade Center Buildings in Manhattan, NY, the Pentagon Building in Washington DC and a field near Shanksville, PA, claiming lives of over 3 thousand innocent people. The attack gave tremendous damages to world economy, including airline industries. United Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Delta Airlines, Us Airways and American Airlines in USA had bankrupted and filed the Chapter 11. Many jobs are lost in aforementioned airlines. In Asia lots of routes and services were suspended. ANA’s Kuala Lumpur route was one of them. Malaysian staffs were asked to voluntary resign and I had to come back to Japan after 7years of service. 2001年9月11日の忌まわしい事故は人々の記憶を去ることはありません。2機のアメリカン航空のジェット機と2機のユナイティド航空のジェット機がイスラム過激派にハイジャックされ、ニューヨークの国際貿易ビル、ワシントンの国防省、ペンシルバニア州の野原に激突し3000人を超える人々がなくなりました。 この事件は航空業界を含む世界経済に大きな影を及ぼし、ユナイティド航空を始めとする多くの航空会社が倒産に追い込まれ、沢山の従業員が職を失いました。アジアでは路線の休止や便の欠航が相次ぎました。ANAのクアラルンプール路線もその一つです。マレーシア人従業員の希望退職を募り、私は7年勤めたマレーシアを去りました。
