September 13th Announcements: ***Congratulations to Ms. Zayac who was chosen as the 12th man for tonight’s game. *** SENIORS: • Attention seniors: Activity package payments are due to Mrs. Andrews (room 312) by MONDAY Sept 16th. You must have your obligations paid for before you can purchase. See her with any questions. • Seniors…College Application Day will be held Wednesday, September25th from 8-11. Sign up in the school counseling office if you would like to participate. Please see your counselor if you have questions. • Seniors…ED-OP Day will be held Wednesday, Sept 18th at 1:45. Approximately 70 college reps will be on campus to provide information and answer questions. • Seniors interested in going on the Senior Trip, the first deposit is due TODAY, September 13. If you were unaware of or unable to attend the parent meeting last Thursday, please come by room 116 to speak with Mr. Barron about participating. No student will be allowed to make a deposit without seeing Mr. Barron about important information. Please do not disturb him while he is teaching. His class schedule is next to his door. GENERAL: • Homecoming dance tickets will be sold for $6 tomorrow for a limited time. Ticket Blitz throughout all lunches. Tickets will be sold again next week for $10. • FDHS Savings cards are finally here. The price is only $10!!! • If you are interested in running for Homecoming Princess or Homecoming Queen this year please stop by Mr. Barton’s room 812 or Ms. Zayak’s room 805 to pick up a registration form. • Juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in public service, have demonstrated leadership abilities, and are interested in deepening your understanding of the American political process there is a scholarship that you may qualify for. See Ms. Fields for more info. • Online Keyboarding and Computer Applications: Students interested in taking Keyboarding or Computer Applications in addition to the courses they are already taking this semester, should visit the school counseling office. Students make sure the information you are giving is correct, because you will be contacted about an orientation night at the school site. • The Charleston Defense Contractors Association (CDCA) is pleased to announce the 3rd annual Mobile Application Development Competition in conjunction with its annual Government and Industry Partnership Summit in Charleston SC November 12-15, 2013. The focus of the Mobile App Competition is to stimulate creative thinking and promote the entrepreneurial spirit while offering development support, marketing expertise, mentorship, and guidance for the participating students. The CDCA Mobile App Competition is open for participation to all High School and full time, undergraduate and graduate college students. SPORTS: • Our varsity volleyball ladies are now 6-0 as they defeated Ashley Ridge yesterday. They are now 1-0 in region play. Way to go Patriots!!! • Congratulations to our JV Football team as they traveled to Strafford yesterday and beat them 6-3. Way to start the weekend off! • Wrestling Conditioning is after school Mon, Tues, and Thurs, at 4pm. If you plan on wrestling this year you need to be there. If you cannot, please notify Coach Ben LaPrad. • Student athletic passes will go on sale Thursday and Friday during lunch periods in room 410. Payment is by cash, credit or debit card. No Checks please. Cost is $50 – pass gets student in free to all regular season, home athletic events. Fort Dorchester 190 and James Island 209. Leading the Lady Patriots were Delanie Mortier 44; Abby Ondrus 46; Taylor Mayers 48; and Bella Hamby 52.
