September 14, 1990 24 years ago today, Tammy quit running and let me catch her. Thank God she did! Im in no shape to chase anything these days. We had a text conversation a few days back where I was bragging that I had managed to make a sandwich for lunch and had managed not burn the house down. She responded by saying something like, Wow! Two whole days, and in a row even. If you keep this up, you wont need me anymore. Me: I will NEVER not need you! Without you, why should I bother? That pretty much describes my feeling for her for the entire time weve spent together. Thank you, my Sweetheart for these years. Im pretty sure you saved me from some real ugliness all those years ago. Without you, why should I bother?
