September 16, 2013 “Bosnian Prosecution Demands Tougher Srebrenica Sentence” Justice Report, BIRN The prosecution said on Monday that Kuvelja should either be given a harsher sentence or sent for a retrial, arguing that evidence from a key witness was not heard during the trial which ended with his conviction for crimes against humanity in January this year. Kuvelja was found guilty of expelling and participating in the murders of Bosniaks who were being held in agricultural warehouses in Kravica after being brought there from Srebrenica. On the morning after mass executions at the Kravica warehouses on July 13, 1995, Kuvelja opened fire on survivors with a machine gun. However prosecutor Ibro Bulic argued that trial had not established the truth about the case because the court had refused to examine a protected witness codenamed KB-119, stating that the prosecution had questioned him after the indictment against Kuvelja was originally filed. balkaninsight/en/article/harsher-sentence-or-release-srebrenica-massacre-verdict-appealed
