September 2, 2013 (2220) IT IS NOT FAIR! We have a generation who is insecure. We question why our lives are the way they are. We question why other people have the advantage over us. Why is she prettier? Why does she have a nice hair and I don’t? Or for guys, why is my car not as nice as his? Why does he get all the girls’ attention? The truth is, this world has set us standards and it’s up to us if we give in, or if we stand our ground and feel good about ourselves and what we have. We might say, ‘life is so unfair!” But it is. Life is never meant to be fair. If it is, everything would have been boring. Same personalities, same employments, same clothes, same names, same everything! But God created us as unique as we can be so we can stand out. We are all created to be extraordinary people. Yes, you read it right. ALL of us! But the question is, do we accept this truth? Do we believe that we are created to shine for His glory? Or do we brush off the idea completely and unconsciously think “That is not what the world says.” I heard someone say, “The thing that makes us equal with everyone else is our privilege to make CHOICES.” Well, I call it a “gift.” Yes, we may not seem equal in the physical worldly context, but God is a JUST God. Well you can disagree and say that He is not, that he blesses other people more. Probably (Don’t get me wrong here). Probably the other person asks and prays more. But realize that we have the same opportunity as the other person to talk to Him. God wants us to pray boldly and nothing is too big for Him to give. But what if I’m praying as hard as I can and still He doesn’t give me what I wanted? Maybe that is not for you. Or maybe He is still in the process of building your character of patience and perseverance. Or maybe, He has something BIGGER for you. Now, the decision is yours. Do you spend the rest of your life wasting your life thinking how unfair life is? Or will you stand up and say to yourself, “I am equal with everyone else because I have the gift to choose. I have the power to choose how I think and see things. Regardless of my circumstances and even if this world says it’s unfair, I believe that my God is fair.”
