September 27th, 1941. EAM (National Liberation Front) was established as the result of need for common action between KKE (Greek Communist Party), other left / democratic political parties, and common folk against the Nazis and their foreign and native servants. It turned out to be a massive social movement and the main source of resistance in Greece. EAM even managed to establish some kind of resistance government known as Mountain Government, in 1944. The United Kingdom perceived EAM as a communist threat and thus created the respective political conditions for a civil war to take place, by financially and administratively encouraging other far-right and non-communist liberation groups. The peak of such events was the start of Dekemvriana when the Greek Government in Exile, supported by numerous far-right, Nazi-submissive groups and the United Kingdom, fired and killed 33 EAM protesters who were protesting against EAMs disarmament. Dekemvriana led to EAMs defeat, the establishment of a weak, subordinative Government and numerous deaths and tortures. This Government consisted mostly of pro-Nazi organisations and individuals whose political and actual descendants rule Greece even today. https://youtube/watch?v=-ZEAowWyFpk
