September 28, 2014 1:48pm Taiji killers begin pushing remaining pod members back out to sea. The pod does not want to leave the area as they want to stay where their pod was murdered. High swells have helped move them out of the cove area however, it appears the killers have lost the pod to drive back out. They want to find them and drive them out further than the 20miles they were driven in from as they know the remaining pod members are juveniles, exhausted from the drive in, the trauma of being left in the cove for 48/hrs with no food, watching 2 of their family members being taken captive and then seeing their dead family members being paraded past them. The killers know it is unlikely these babies will survive the drive back out- and they do not want dead pilot whales washing up on shore.
