September 28 Wand of Youth Suite No. 1 https://youtube/watch?v=PMMwLorA9Fc Edward Elgar (1857-1934) MusicaNova Orchestra, Warren Cohen (Phoenix, Arizona) This orchestra from Phoenix, Arizona, performs this beautiful, sometimes melancholic, English music wonderfully. The camera work could be better. The woodwind section plays a major role in this piece; the woodwind musicians were the first to be acknowledged by the conductor at the end of the performance, yet the camera did not focus on this section of the orchestra even for one second during the entire performance. I usually reject a video when the camera work is that bad, but this orchestra does so well, I could not bring myself to do that. It is for that reason that I have made an exception and exceeded my rule of keeping these offerings under 20 minutes (they are usually under 10).
