Norwich start the days transfer proceedings off, whilst Stoke are linked with 4 people past their prime and their fans wait around all day and night for it to be announced. Arsenal are quiet until the last hour. QPR steal the Championship headlines when Harry Redknapp tries to wheel and deal up to the last second, Manchester City sign yet another Spaniard, Spurs are linked with anybody who is a football player and Peter Odemwingie drives to Newport County hoping to force through a transfer. England play 2 competitive matches and the media expects them to win. Fans expect them to win. Turns out they win marginally against Moldova and draw with Ukraine. A dancing fan in the stands is the only stand out performer. Norwich are in the top 6 after an impressive start and fans and pundits start to suggest that they could still be there at the end of the season, when everybody knows that they won’t be.
