September is “Hunger Action Month,” and we are all called upon as community advocates to help make a difference. Remember, any contribution no matter the size, will help feed families and individuals in need in Howard County. To assist in this struggle, the County has placed collection boxes at several of our buildings and invite you to donate special items of need including: peanut butter; jelly; pasta; pasta sauce; canned vegetables; cooking oil; canned fruit; breakfast bars; rice; cereal; oatmeal; tuna fish; juices; bottled water; dried/canned beans; dried lentils; tea or coffee; honey; and baby supplies. Drop off locations include: George Howard Building, 3430 Court House Drive, Ellicott City Thomas Dorsey Building, 9250 Bendix Road, Columbia Gateway Building, 6751 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia Ascend One Building, 8930 Stanford Blvd, Columbia Warfield Building, 3410 Court House Drive, Ellicott City Police Department Southern District, 11226 Scaggsville Road, Laurel Department of Corrections, 7301 Waterloo Road, Jessup Recreation & Parks Headquarters, 7120 Oakland Mills Road, Columbia Thank you for your consideration, generosity and support.
