September is “Hunger Action Month,” and we are all called upon as community advocates to help make a difference. Remember, any contribution no matter the size, will help feed families and individuals in need in Howard County. To assist in this struggle, the County has placed collection boxes at several of our buildings and invite you to donate special items of need including: peanut butter; jelly; pasta; pasta sauce; canned vegetables; cooking oil; canned fruit; breakfast bars; rice; cereal; oatmeal; tuna fish; juices; bottled water; dried/canned beans; dried lentils; tea or coffee; honey; and baby supplies.
