September is National Preparedness Month... Autumnal equinox is today, and the City is establishing the autumnal and spring equinoxes, as well as the winter and summer solstices, as days for all of our residents to make sure they are prepared in the event of an emergency. Heres what you can do: 1. Check your smoke detectors to make sure they work and that batteries are charged. 2. Check your generator and appliances. 3. Make sure you have a to-go bag ready.
