Serang Advertised: 04-Jul-14 | Closing Date: 03-Aug-14 Production Manager PT Waagner Biro Indonesia Job Description To establish an efficient workshop management structure that will be accountable for the workshop productivity during normal hours and shift work To establish a monitoring system of traceable work instructions for the efficient use of workshop manpower, resources, materials and consumable Establish and maintain a well organized, efficient and clean working environment To participate as a team member and actively contribute to the understanding and identifying the production requirements of a particular tender and project To engage in detailed technical discussions with the engineering team in respect to project requirements for equipment and be always ready to offer alternative technically compatible and productive suggestions To prepare production schedules for individual projects and to commission subcontractor tenders and evaluate bids based on technical compliance and price To effectively and accurately respond to engineering as to the most productive fabrication methods for each individual project To work closely with the Quality Control and Logistics Departments in order to establish a reliable and traceable control of incoming and outgoing materials Must be willing to work in a fast paced setting and work overtime to meet deadlines and schedules To carry out his duties in the highest ethical standard and without limitations avoid any activities that may be interpreted as corruption, collusion or nepotism. Such activities to be avoided include but are not limited to: the direct or indirect offering, payment, soliciting or acceptance of bribes, gifts or gratuities in any form; payments in cash with the express or implied condition of gaining commercial or personal advantage Requirements : Must have a minimum S1/Bachelor Degree/Technical Diploma in Industrial or Metallurgic Engineering Degree preferably from a reputable university/technical college and a minimum of 10 (ten) years of proven industry experience in managing a workshop with a capacity of 1800 MT per month and corresponding work force of at least 200 workers such as machine operators, fitters, welders, QA/QC, logistics, maintenance, helpers Essential Knowledge, Experience and Proficiency in: Steel industry standards such as but not limited to ASTM, JIS, EN, AS, SNI American Welding Standard (AWS) Welding processes such as but not limited to Shielded Metal Arch Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arch Welding (GMAW), Submerged Arch Welding (SAW), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG); Flux Core Arch Welding (FCAW); The applicant must demonstrate to have had training in such welding processes Standard Fabrication Codes such DIN and ASTM Fitting and assembly of steel structures Operation, programming and maintenance of CNC fabrication shop equipment such as but not limited to CNC Flame Cutting, CNC Punching, CNC Drilling Operation and maintenance of fabrication Circular Saw, Band Saw, Press Brake, Manual Welding, Automatic Welding, Bending, Rolling; Welding Machines Operation and maintenance of machining equipment such as Lathes, Milling, Scraping Operation, capacity calculation and maintenance of handling equipment such as Mobile Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Jib Cranes, Fork Lifts, Manual Hoists, Electric Hoists, Chain Blocks, Winches Operation and maintenance of auxiliary equipment such as Generator Sets, Compressors Competent knowledge of steel raw materials, shapes, sizes and grades Steel structure related components and accessories such as but not limited to fasteners, bearings, expansion joints, cables, steel plates and profiles, decking systems, piping and pipe products Related technologies such as but not limited to mechanical, hydraulics and equipment installation The ability to read and extract measurements, quantities and other useful information from technical drawings and be able to communicate in confident technical terms with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients English and Bahasa Indonesia Computer software such as AutoCAD, Excel, Words The Applicant must be able to make calculations for and control every aspect of the production process such as but not limited to: Man Hour requirement for each fabrication process Man Hour requirement for multiple project running concurrently and consisting of many different processes Competitive budgeting for projects during the tender stage Effective usage of resources during production such as manpower, consumable, gases, safety equipment Establish the optimum output capacity of each process and machinery Company Overview The Company We are an engineering design and construction company specializing in the area of general steel structure for differing industry sectors.
