Sergeant says : islam in my life. I am a christian. But as a Malaysian which my countrys official religion is Islam ,it played an important role in my life. There were some key people that enlightened me in this honorable belief. Ustazah shamsul - high school Ustazah . I like to spend my recess time to have a one to one talk with her during form 3 to know more about Islam Ustaz shukri - high school ustaz , who pursuaded me to take up tasawur Islam during form 4 . Guided me (on 1 to 1 ) on syllabus and non syllabus matter. Unfortunately , after the first result slip sent to my house (I scored A1 for tasawur ) , my parents thought that I took up too many subject for SPM , thus I dropped tasawur along with perdagangan. Ustaz efirno - education atache in London during my study in the UK. I always spend my free time hiding in his warm office in queens borough terrace malaysia hall. He teach me so many things which I percept wrongly in Islam. He is also an unsung hero for many UKEC program which he discreetly advise me on the operation disallowing me to put his name on the honour list. There is a common personalities among these three honorable person. - they are super patient , never tired of explaining to me despite it takes up their entire resting time. - they never raise their voice , scold , or get angry whenever I challenge them - they are humble despite they are super knowledgeable - they abide Islamic responsibility voluntarily. Ie , they never said they fast during Ramadan because God compels them . They fast because they want to have a taste of being poor. Thats the reason they fast. - they read a lot . - and most importantly , they never utter a single word to convert me. Never invite me. They showed me , how a true Islamic scholar should be , how noble a Muslim could be. They are far away from those who use Islam as a shield for ulterior intentions. They never triumph a religion over another. They respect other believes as if prophet muhammad himself would. If one day , I ever converted into islam, its not because of any political policies that are mere phisical and intimidating . Its because I want to be like the people I mentioned above.
