Sergio Aguero is likely to be out for a month with the hamstring injury he sustained in Manchester City’s 5-1 win over Tottenham on Wednesday. • Mooney: Pitch perfect City’s 26-goal top scorer should miss two games against Chelsea -- Monday’s Premier League clash and next month’s FA Cup fifth-round tie -- as well as the Champions League last-16 first leg against Barcelona. Sergio Aguero faces month out injured The Argentina international is also set to sit out matches against Norwich, Sunderland and Stoke, and could be a doubt for the Capital One Cup final against the Black Cats on March 2. City manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed Aguero is one of three players who will be sidelined for Monday’s game against Jose Mourinho’s side. He said: “The injuries are Samir Nasri, who continues to have treatment, Javi Garcia and Kun Aguero. “[Aguero is out] maybe one month but we are not sure now.” Pellegrini admitted the absence of the former Atletico Madrid forward, who has scored 10 goals in his last eight games, will be a major blow. He said: “Yes, of course, because he is a top player for us but I think we will replace him. When he could not play for a month, all the other strikers replaced him.” Aguero missed eight games in December and January after sustaining a calf injury against Arsenal, and City won seven of those, scoring 22 goals in the process. Pellegrini, however, should be able to recall 23-goal striker Alvaro Negredo against Chelsea. The Spain international, who suffered a shoulder injury in the 3-0 Capital One Cup win over West Ham on Jan. 21, was an unused substitute in the win at Tottenham.
