Sergio Ramos is the most dangerous Spanish cyber celebrity - TopicsExpress

Sergio Ramos is the most dangerous Spanish cyber celebrity according to a study carried out by McAfee. The security firm has revealed that searching for the Real Madrid defenders name online can lead to sites containing malicious software, spam or viruses. Users who enter the Spanish footballers surname into a search engine have a 19.33% chance of landing on a malicious site, reveals the study, despite the fact that people normally just want to download photos, videos, a screensaver or simply information regarding breaking news about the player. Most consumers are completely unaware of the security risks that exist when searching for celebrity and entertainment news, images and videos online, sacrificing safety for immediacy, explains Francisco Sancho, a McAfee product manager. Sports personalities, singers and actors are some of the snares used by cybercriminals to lure users to sites that can severely infect their computers and devices and steal personal data, warns Sancho. In addition to Ramos, the Real Madrid shotstopper Iker Casillas and the Barcelona centre-half Gerard Piqué feature in the top 10 most dangerous Spanish celebs to search for online. They are joined by the singers David Bisbal, Alejandro Sanz and Enrique Iglesias and the actors Alex González, Hiba Habouk, Paz Vega and Antonio Banderas.
