Serie A Italian transfer news Juve strikers consider English moves Alessandro Matri and Fabio Quagliarella are considering improved offers from Everton and Norwich respectively, according to reports in Italy. The Juventus strikers are pushed even more to the sidelines this season with the arrival of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. The Premier League beckons for the two Italian forwards, as previous bids are reportedly raised over the weekend. Everton are renewing their attempts to sign Matri, who was also of interest to Milan and Napoli, with an improved offer worth €12m (£10.4m). The Rossoneri in particular could make a new offer for Matri after learning of Robinho’s thigh injury. As for Quagliarella, he turned down a previous proposal from Norwich, but the Canaries are not giving up. West Ham United are also thought to be tracking €10m-rated (£8.6m) Quagliagol. There are reports Napoli have increased their offer for Jackson Martinez, though Porto are still asking for €40m. The Colombian international striker has emerged as their next transfer target, as confirmed by President Aurelio De Laurentiis and Coach Rafa Benitez. According to Sky Sport Italia, the Partenopei have decided to raise their bid to €32m, though it is still well below Porto’s €40m asking price. Napoli are hoping to lean on the desire of Jackson Martinez, who reportedly has already agreed a five-year contract worth €2m per season. The 26-year-old is also a target for Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund. CSKA Moscow have reiterated they won’t sell Keisuke Honda to Milan “unless there is a suitable offer” and slammed the Rossoneri. The Japanese international will be a free agent in January and already has a deal to join Milan then, but the clubs are in negotiations for an immediate switch. “Honda can talk to other clubs about his future, but for the moment he cannot leave unless there is a suitable offer,” President Yevgeni Giner told the Russian media. “There are rumours of proposals that reach €1.5m-€2m, but this is not a solution that is useful for us. He is an important player for us and can help us earn €2m if we get through the Champions League play-offs. “Besides, if he plays at his best, then he could earn himself a better contract. He might not necessarily end up at Milan at all. “We’ve had better offers for Honda compared to the Milan one. Certainly more interesting and economically viable. “The issue regards both the sum payable to CSKA and the player’s wages. Milan are an important club and Adriano Galliani is an excellent director. “However, they have to understand in Italy that they can’t treat us like losers, nor will we let ourselves be conditioned by the newspapers. “Honda has not lost any motivation. He is a CSKA player and has a contract with CSKA.” He was speaking after Honda scored a sensational free kick in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow. Milan could sell half of M’baye Niang to Sampdoria in exchange for full ownership of Andrea Poli. According to Sky Sport Italia, Niang is eager to find more regular playing time in Serie A, as he managed only 875 minutes of football in 20 appearances last season without scoring. The Blucerchiati would welcome a new young forward after selling Mauro Icardi to Inter and a co-ownership deal suits all parties. It also helps Milan, as they are in a co-ownership agreement with Sampdoria for midfielder Poli and could exchange 50 per cent of Niang for full possession of Poli. Niang is still only 18 years old and the Rossoneri feel he’d benefit from playing under less pressure than at San Siro. With Daniele Bonera out for three months, it’s reported Milan are in talks for Inter defender Matias Silvestre. It was announced this evening that Bonera is out for 70-90 days with a fractured right knee-cap, leaving the Rossoneri with a gaping hole in their defence. Italian sources claim Roma are trashing out personal terms with Gervinho today to complete the transfer from Arsenal next week. The Giallorossi have not been shy about their negotiations for the Ivory Coast international striker, who already worked with Coach Rudi Garcia at Lille. According to Sky Sport Italia, director of sport Walter Sabatini will meet with Gervinho’s agents today to whittle down the final details on personal terms. Talks with Arsenal are progressing well and they are optimistic the move can be completed next week. It’s reported Roma will eventually reach a compromise with the Gunners thanks to an offer worth €8m. Parma general manager Pietro Leonardo insists “there have been no offers” for Jonathan Biabiany and Gabriel Paletta. The two players have been linked with a move to a bigger club this summer, as Biabiany is of interest to Juventus and Paletta a target for Milan. “I have not heard from Juventus for Biabiany,” Leonardi told Sky Sport Italia this evening. “There have been no offers. If something we can’t refuse arrives, then we’ll see, but for the moment there’s nothing to discuss. “The same is true for Paletta. Gabriel is indispensable for us and there is nothing going on with Milan. I am sure he will stay. “Fabiano Santacroce does want to leave, though, as he is looking for more regular playing time.” Roma striker Marco Borriello is attracting interest from Malaga and Valencia, according to reports. Several Italian media outlets including the Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that the Liga duo are keeping tabs on the Giallorossi forward, with his future looking increasingly likely to be away from the club. The 31-year-old has been left out of Rudi Garcia’s squad for their American tour, and has been linked with a permanent move to Genoa. However, both Los Che and the Rosaleda side are tracking the goalscorer. Borriello could be available for around €7m. Fiorentina have again been linked with Daniele De Rossi and Radja Nainggolan, as there are question marks over Adem Ljajic. The Viola are not short of ambition this season, having strengthened the squad with the likes of Mario Gomez, Massimo Ambrosini and Joaquin. According to La Nazione, the Tuscans are still determined to reinforce their midfield with world class players. It is not the first time this summer that they have been linked with Roma star De Rossi and sought-after Cagliari man Nainggolan. De Rossi is increasingly at odds with a section of the Giallorossi ultras and the club hierarchy, so would enjoy reuniting with his former Coach and teammate Vincenzo Montella. As for Nainggolan, Cagliari have refused to even consider an offer below €15m amid interest from Roma and Inter. Meanwhile, Fiorentina have to consider Ljajic’s position after contract renegotiations hit problems again. His deal expires in June 2014, so the club has no intention of letting it run down so he can join Milan as a free agent next summer. As the Rossoneri are struggling to bring in Keisuke Honda from CSKA Moscow before January and Robinho has picked up an injury, they could renew their attempts to sign Ljajic now.
