Series of on board photos I took in 2005 of a MAS B777-200 #PrayForMH370 #MH370 While returning after concluding studies in Melbourne, Australia, in December 2005, I took these photos in the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200, similar to the missing one, though I cant remember its tail number. Camera phones that time were basic, were mostly available only with the Three network (now Vodafone Australia). So I did not purchase one. These pictures were taken using the (now clunky and battery draining) Olympus C350 Zoom. The airport that day had a possible strike action by workers. They left us with so little time to board that I had no time to snap pictures of the entire aircraft. Here is the shot from my overwing seat at the Tullamarine Airport. See how spotlessly shiny the wing is. You can see part of the gigantic Rolls Royce Trent engine pylon on the lower left. Still at Tullamarine. You can also see how thick and sturdy built the base of the wing is. Taxiing to the Tullamarine runway for take off. In the distance, is most likely a Virgin plane. I dont remember the low frequency vibration on engine start but it was the usual low to high note sweep. As though the engines were singing an opera. In flight at 43,000 feet above sea level. Tried to take a picture of this ice crystal forming around a relief hole in the window. Flying above the cloud deck. Clear picture of the Moon and the nice curvature of the wing due to the Bernoulli Effect as it takes the lifting. The window is not dirty. Those are ice crystals. The flight landed at Kuala Lumpur International in the night, just past dinner time. Very routine uneventful flight. Very slight turbulence near landing in KL. The aircraft was very sturdy, no strange noises or loose parts unlike the Boeing 747 that I arrived in a year earlier (Feb 2005). The quiet gigantic Rolls Royce Trent engines added to the comfort as they were large enough to not need reversal throttle up. Lets all pray they are alive somewhere, perhaps landed at some unknown airstrip or clearing somewhere. There is a strange report that someone managed to ring up the phone of one of the passengers.
