Serious Rant (why Voices From The Ghetto might be the last e-book Ill self publish!!!) One of the hardest things for any indie author to accept, is when they gift readers copies of their books (pdfs or kindle copies) and months later they cant even get a hi i am enjoying your book thus far much less a review on Amazon. By December I decided not to ask anymore for reviews or inbox readers as to how my book is going. I know one of my close friends recently lost her home to a fire, so shes excluded, but honestly what is the excuse for the rest of you (esp those who were gifted kindle copies) (sighs) and then people dont understand when indie artists get there break through that sometimes get a Kanye West type of attitude. Its not because they are arrogant, its because they know all the bleep bleep they had to go through to just get their art viewed by the world. Im not even going to talk about the abysmal sales for Voices from The Ghetto (despite the nights of lost sleep marketing and promoting this book) and people cant say it was an erotic book I commented on deep social issues plaguing the black community esp the poor black community. I wrote poems based on things going on from Trinidad and Tobago to the USA, even taking readers to the struggles going on India. I sware its the best book Ive ever written and the fact that its barely selling infuriates me to my core!!! But its a new year 2015, so Im switching things up a bit. Doing things different (because I am not insane) so look out for a few announcements regarding my writing career at the end of this month. Honestly Im not upset about it right now, that was more in November/ December last year, but Im just speaking to you all to let you know that I was hurt by the lack of love this book got, because out of all the 6 books Ive published this one was the one I believed in the most :( . To those of you friends and readers who left reviews for Voices From The Ghetto thank you very much, it is most appreciated. Later this month, Ill offer the book on free just so people can at least own and maybe even read this great book, but after that most likely Ill unpublish it from Amazon.
