Serious question and I will answer first. Who was or is the most influential person in your life? Me, it was and is my Grandfather on my Fathers side. Grampy Briggs taught me a few simple rules about life that I wish to share. 1. Enjoy nature and all that she gives as she can easily take it away. 2. Work hard as nothing in life worth having is truly gained without some form of payment. 3. Have fun, take time to laugh and learn from others. The world is not simple and should be never taken for granted. 4. Family and real friends are more important than all other factors. Live to enjoy and protect them. Serving ones self is not as noble. 5. Having dogs are a blessing. They live to serve us as faithful companions and reflect us a humans. Treat them well and they love unconditionally. 6. Children are the future and if you fail at that then work twice as hard as a grandparent. I can say he did an amazing job with me there. He knew my shenanigans and I took/Take his advice to heart more than anyone I know. My Grandfather for those that do not know him is a very boisterous laugher.. You can legit hear him laugh across Wal-Mart. He has retired from the only business he knows.. He startted at 13 or so as an Oil burner man at the family business many, many, moons ago. When my Grandmother died after a long illness (Diabetes and Kidney failure). He Retired and moved deep into the woods of Orland Maine where he resides today. He still cuts his own firewood and lives off the grid dependent on solar power and ingenuity. Mad Respect from me.
