Serious question, if you know anything, please tell me; being that charitable donations can be filed with taxes, and effect the return/owing, all donations to charitable events should be entitled to receipts, yes? For instance, can a charitable event legally give me an either/or when it comes to a donation: Either a free ticket to the event OR a tax receipt? As a person of sporadic, usually low income, I personally feel that this an unfair choice. Opinions welcome.
