Seriously, #MobileDebaters are awesome. It is a proof that, on the high level, the skill to pitch an idea and deep understanding of a product and its prospects have ZERO intersection. Essentially, if you would like to be able to capture the audience by explaining how awesome your idea and/or product is: FORGET IT. There are people around who can do it better than you. With virtually NO preparation. For ANY idea, including the very yours. And in ANY direction of the delivery of the message, from it sucks up to its the best thing ever. Im so glad to firmly stick with engineering. Phew. Good thing is: It becomes less and less important to be able to sell an idea anyhow well. Good idea and good execution are just good enough. Kudos to #EventBrite for suggesting it. I try to get to about one event a month, and this one has been a solid hit.
