Seriously.. Youll never guess where I am.. Apheresis! Okay, maybe that wasnt too hard. Heres an update. Personally as many may know, life has had more than its fair share of a few downs the past 3 years.. dealing with aHUS, my marriage breakdown, and balancing life, work and illness in general, travelling over 1000km week, and the expenses associated with having a lifelong illness. Treatment is still once a week, but I am closer to it. I am back on shift work (I am actually working after treatment today start at 10pm) and love what I am doing. I am adapting well to my own company again and enjoying time with myself, my dogs, family and friends. Went on a little day trip earlier in the week and had a jolly time. My experiences these past 3 years has taught me about character, strength, and determination, and I have grown from it. I hold on more than ever to hope, I am protective of my heart, I believe more in myself and my faith is strong. And after all this, I still believe in fairy tales ;) Or maybe I have watched too many repeats of Frozen and Maleficent. One of my favourite quotes is fairy tales are more than true, not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us dragons can be beaten.
