Seriously feeling a way this morning after watching the Eric Garner video... These cases are coming more and more rapid. Man placed in illegal choke hold for selling a cigarette and breaking up a fight and looses his life. But no trial. 12 ur old looses his life for playing with a toy gun... What do we give our boys to play with from a young age? Why did police not speak to this BOY before gunning him down. Why is it only BLACK MEN AND BOYS THIS IS HAPPENING TO?? They want to kill them off as they have for centuries. Back when Rodney king got assaulted u had positive music like fight the power, encouraging ppl to stand up and how to b heard in a non derogatory way... Now what kind of music do we have... The type that encourages bad b$ches and making the club go up, if an artists tries to put out music of substance it usually doesnt go well and labels wouldnt even put out music that was enlightening folks on whats going on. They want us so self absorbed we dont even think to do anything. But it all starts from with in. We all have to ask ourselves what we can do. Rather its paying attention to the young kids on ur block and speaking kind to them or telling them about ur job or volunteering as a football coach since u use to play, or being more active in your own childrens lives... I feel like Ezekiel and The Lord is telling me to tell all of u to choose a side. Get that other foot in. No half stepping. If I dont share these messages, the blood is on my hands.
