Seriously, where are peoples heads at?? I needed a new pair of welding gloves because mine had bitten the dust, so I went down to the local welding supplies store. *Note this particular store sells ONLY welding supplies* Theres a guy being served at the counter when I step up with the boy. He turns to me and says You buying some gardening gloves for the little fella?. All I could do was stare blankly at him. Then he nods in the direction of the gloves and says Well those gloves are very small!, to which I can only stammer Uh.. I.. I.. I have small hands... What on EARTH would make this guy think, out loud, that I was in a WELDING SUPPLY STORE to buy GARDENING GLOVES for my son!? Wouldnt I be at a gardening chain store? Or a nursery?? Is he aware that welding gloves are *completely* different to gardening gloves?? THEN: After a day in the metal shop, I go to retrieve my son from school, clad in my overalls and steel cap boots. Naturally seeing the school is in between work and home, I do not go and get changed into different clothes first. I am greeted by a staff member with a baffled look- Oh, dont you look like a real tomboy in that outfit! What a funny thing to be wearing!!. I almost had an embolism. Yes, I said to her. Im practicing for Halloween and this is my costume. What do you think?. Not like Im gonna show up to a metal workshop in heels and a ball gown.. Why do people even bother to open their mouths!?
