Sermon - December 15, 2013 - Distracted by Knowledge - Matthew 2:1-12 What will you do to keep your life the way you like it? Herod, the ruthless, deceptive king, did everything in his power, including killing babies, to keep control and power. Herods scholars were proud that they knew and studied the Scriptures. The three Magi were scholarly and were diligent with their study. They had to act on what they studied. But they longed to seek the truth, to honor and worship Gods Chosen One. Herods men couldnt see past their arrogant pride in what they knew. God will honor your searching and your journey through His Word. You can know a lot of knowledge about God, but dont know Him. Seek Him to obey Him, to worship Him, to know Him as Your God.
