Sermon Title : The Death of Nazarus. Bible : John 11:1~44 So the sister sent word to Jesus, Lord, the one you love is sick. When he heard this, Jesus said, this sickness will not end in death. No, it is for Gods glory so that Gods son may be glorified Furthermore for disciples shake(v.15). And for your shake I am glad I was not there. So that you may believe. But let us go to him. Jesus saying should be applied to our life. What is the most tragedy in our life? It might be like our dying or something trouble happening after that. Nowadays, we have been in suffering from financial problems or sickness and something likely to severe problems. Here, we can find that the Jesus saying give us an encouragement and hope in our hardship. Therefore our problems could be glorified for God like Nazarus dead. In according to Jesus saying and Nazarus dead, we should be encouraged and hope, even though, we are in the severe problems, we also could be glorified through our suffering. And then what should we do now? The answer is a faith for Jesussaying. In John 11:40 Then Jesus said, did I not tell you that if you believe, you would see the glory of God? Jesus promised Martha that Jesus will give a life for Nazarus. Jesus said to her Im the resurrection and life, he who believes in me will live. Even though he dies; And whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe thid?(vv.25,26) These words were not only for the resurrection future but also for our problems. Our problems could be resolved as Nazarus through the death. Nowadays, we must have the faith that Jesus said to Martha. And if we believe Jesuss words we could glorify to God as well as to Jesus and then our problems could be resolved. If Jesus did raise Nazareth fromthe dead. How much more could he resolve our problems well? In Heb.11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see Now, lets believe Jesus words and we get the Gods blessing as well as glorifying to God through our suffering.
